The MAX-M8 series of standalone concurrent GNSS modules is built on the exceptional performance of the u-blox M8 engine in the industry proven MAX form factor. With dual-frequency RF front-end, the u-blox M8 concurrent GNSS engine is able to intelligently use the highest amount of visible satellites from two GNSS (GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou) systems for more reliable positioning. The MAX-M8 series is ideal for performance driven applications. The MAX-M8 series provides high sensitivity and minimal acquisition times while maintaining low system power. The MAX-M8Q provides best performance for passive and active antennas designs. Sophisticated RF-architecture and interference suppression ensure maximum performance even in GNSS-hostile environments. The MAX-M8 combines a high level of integration capability with flexible connectivity options in a miniature package. This makes MAX-M8 perfectly suited for industrial applications with strict size and cost requirements. The MAX-M8Q is also halogen free (green) which makes it also a perfect solution for consumer applications. The DDC (I2C compliant) interface provides connectivity and enables synergies with most ublox cellular modules

Connecting TTL serial module

After connecting the device and want to use the Galileo network need to set the NMEA protocol version first:

To save the configuration into the module select the CFG page, and save into the BBR (battery backuped ram)
